The hand-held smoke torches from SMOKE-X are specially designed to be held in the hand. They are ignited by means of a friction surface. During the burning time of approx. 60 seconds, dense, white smoke develops.

What is the fire risk or are the smoke grenades cool?

Using smoke grenades in a dry environment is a controlled risk. If it is bone dry in your woodland or play area, you obviously need to be vigilant and should have fire extinguishers/extinguishers at the ready

We have many successful pitches in the driest parts of the world that use our products without any problems. They manage the risk. All fields are staffed so your employees know where smoke grenades are used.

The term "cool burn" or "cold burn" usually refers to the fact that no external flames are produced and the temperature of the cartridge is lower than military and marine emergency smoke (which gets very hot). However, there is a possibility of fire with ANY smoke grenade, and no smoke grenade should be used on or near highly flammable materials!

Many of our smoke grenades produce some sparks but no flame. The walls of these smoke grenades reach a maximum temperature of approximately 90°C after burning. The maximum temperature of the grenade during operation is about 40 ° C.

The maximum temperature measured at the nozzle / exit point of the smoke during operation is approximately 130°C.
